Much interface design at Omni has started with a quick mockup in OmniGraffle. Here's the stencil I've been building, adding elements as I need them. Most designs start with an existing screenshot, with swatches of controlColor over things we need to get rid of, and layers of new controls on top of that.
Clearly there are lots of controls that could still be added to this stencil. If you create any, hop on the Omni forums and post your own version! Together we can create the ideal Mac OS X interface stencil.

Sorry about that!
There was a bug on the OmniGroup website that was preventing downloads from working properly. It's fixed now, though.
So download away!

Fixed or changed. I've registered for two web sites, it seems, successfully logged in, have been clobbered was it 5 or 6 times being asked to log in, logged in found myself back at the omni forums, left a trail of sticks, been bounced again, came back saw a trail of sticks that looked like mine, so tied a piece of string to the started, tried the download, asked to log in, appeared again at the forums, saw a trail of sticks and a piece of string, figured someone else might have done the same so left chalk marks on the ground, started the download then was asked to log in and did so and ended up at the forums again, this time there was a trail of sticks, a piece of string and chalk marks. Now this is spooky, because someone else is doing the same as me. Wow!
Now what?

Someone must be having trouble downloading the templates just like me.
I might go and look in the old place.

I was able to download using Camino by right-clicking the 'download' link and selecting 'Download Link Target...'. YMMV.

Ok... here's the deal.
This stencil is actually hosted on the OmniGroup forums. Since it was uploaded to the forums, you must be logged in to download the file.
I didn't realize this was a problem because I was already a member of the forum.
That said... Graffletopia should have direct links. You shouldn't need to login to another site (or even this site) to download a stencil.
I've contacted OmniGroup and I'm hoping we'll have a fix later today.

Ok... this stencil is now hosted on Graffletopia, so logging into the OmniGroup forums is no longer necessary.
Downloading should work fine now. :)

I can download the stencil, but it does not match the preview. It is missing the two sliders and the "Square" element. Looking at the forum, the creator posted an update that includes the sliders, but I can't download it from the forum. It would be nice if you could either update the stencil or update the preview so that they match.
