Just tried this stencil, but the blocks don't really "fit" (4x2 does not occupy the same space as 2 times 2x2 block, the first thing I tried). Furthermore, it would be nice if they all magically snapped in the right places to help you build stuff.

I wouldn't expect Omnigraffle to automagically become a 3D LEGO modelling tool by mere creation of a stencil. What you are looking for, sir, is the LEGO Digital Designer.
